Default picky hamster

I give my hamster a food mix and I found that will usually eat all of the food except for one type of grain. Is this normal?

Yes. You shouldn’t give him anymore food until he eats it. My hamster is like that (he hates mealworms) so I just wait till the bowl is empty before I refill it again.

Hope this helps!

Yeah mine was the same, they just love the high-fat taste ones more, but need to eat the whole mix for all the nutrients. It's like us wanting to eat the chips only but knowing we should eat the salad too.

Leave the bowl till they eat it all, then refill.
They will eat it when they get hungry.

Mine is picky too, I leave the things she does not eat until its gone. I only give her a teaspoon of food at a time. Dwarfs are pickier than Syrians.
