Question Homemade treats ????

Hey,

i have 2 syrian hamsters, Harty and Hetty (seperate cages)

1 for each of my nieces (5&2), they love to be able to clean their cages and feel like they are looking after their pets

I want to get them making some treats that they can give to their hamsters the next time we have a 'baking day', has anyone got any ideas of hamster friendly homemade treats,

Harty- likes more savoury treats
Hetty - likes more fruit/sweet treats

any advice would be great. thanks.

I have a recipe for hamster cookies!
you can make a basic flour and water dough (plain, not self raising) and add little pieces of dried banana chips, dried apple, peanuts, or any of your hammies favourite foods really. I like to add small seeds and oats to the dough as well. Then you bake them at 180 for 15 minutes or until they’re done (exact time depends of shape and size so check often).

VanillaHamHam and ErinsAnimals on youtube have a few recipes as well!

thanks! that sounds easy enough and kids would love that, especially if the kids can eat them aswell,

couple quick questions ...
how big should they be when i put them in the oven?
is there anything i should not be putting in them?
