Creating my own food mixes

After a lot of research, I finally feel like I’m ready to create my own food mixes for my hamsters.

I want to create mixes tailored to the individual species, their dietary requirements, and their health risks. I will try to keep in mind which seeds/plants are available in their natural habitats as well.

I currently have hybrids, syrians, and robos so those are the mixes i will be creating. Lets hope my brain doesn’t explode from all the maths!

That certainly sounds like a big task, will be interested to hear how the mixes progress. Not that I have a scrap of knowledge in this department but still!

Have fun! It's a very satisfying thing to do & lovely to see your hams thriving on a good well thought out home made mix, I must admit my brain did nearly explode with the maths though!

I for one am excited to see the outcome of this. I've always had a small interest in doing what you're doing but never felt I had the knowledge or patience for it. If you don't explode before you figure out the Syrian one, I'll be sure to use your diet plan for my next Hammie!
