Default Re: Changing foods and losing weight.

I’ve noticed they’re listed separately, I just have yet to find one in the actual food itself - which is why I’ve wondered if it’s just an odd translation. Not that maggots are bad haha, I just haven’t physically seen any in the mix itself; just mealworms. What I have noticed is a lot more mealworm pupa that I would typically get a mix that just states mealworms, so I don’t know if that’s what they’re referring to or if the translation got mixed up along the way or if there are really maggots in the mix. \/

ETA; The GA for the getzoo mixes, for anyone who's curious:

Syrian: 15.8% protein, 13.6% fat, 9.3% fibre.
Dwarf: 16.6% protein, 15.3% fat, 11.4% fibre.

^ The fat levels are miles above what is generally recommended on hamster forums and are from what I assume due to the fact that both mixes contain nuts (pine nuts, pistachios, etc) and dried mealworms. all healthy fats! Personally, I haven't had any problems with it and all my guys are healthy weights for their species & type.

That is high fat content but kind of makes sense if there are nuts in there I guess. Have been wanting to try the dwarf getzoo mix for some time but not convinced there would be much benefit of switching an older ham onto a new food.
