Default Accidentally fed Syrian greasy scrambled eggs, now lethargic

Hi all!

I recently got my Syrian male Piano a week ago. He's 6 weeks old. He was doing great and would eat treats from my hand, but two days ago I fed him 3 dime-sized pieces of unseasoned scrambled eggs cooked in some coconut oil. I didn't realize oil could be a problem.

That night, he didn't go on his wheel at all. The next day, he didn't come out until really late at night. When I called his name, he immediately dove into his shoebox and didn't let himself be seen again. He did pouch his food and I think he's drinking, but I thought I heard his tummy grumbling just before I called his name. The good thing is he did go on his wheel some afterwards when I was asleep.

I haven't seen him since the night I fed him the egg, so I can't check if he has wet tail or any visible symptoms.

Could I have made him really sick with the coconut oil? Is it worth the stress for me to lift up his shoebox and see how he looks? (I haven't found diarrhea anywhere, but then again, I never saw his poop before so it must all be in his shoebox where he sleeps). I don't want to bother him while he's sleeping, but maybe I should if he seems to be less active and is suddenly really intent on avoiding me like the plague ever since eating oil? Is it trust issues or health issues? I've also never picked him up so I can't check his tail without stressing him out.

A small amount of coconut oil shouldn't do any harm I wouldn't think & he won't get wet tail from that, if he did eat too much egg then he may either just not be hungry so won't bother to come out, going in his wheel is a good sign, it is possible that he may have a bit of an upset stomach so I would just have a check on him to make sure he is ok, they don't like to e disturbed in the nest but lifting his house up to see him shouldn't be too stressful for him.
