Default Hamster chew

Hi there

I bought my hamster Theo a chew toy yesterday seeing as he doesn’t have much wooden stuff in his cage, it is made of coconut loofah and wooden sticks, is that okay for hamsters? I’ve looked everywhere and I don’t want to risk it just for a three pound chew toy.

That should be fine.
If you want to try something your ham will love to chew you could try whimzee dog chews, the little toothbrush ones are best, most hams love those.

My hammies love those kinds of toys The different shapes and textures give a lot of sensory stimulation, and you can hide treats in the little woven ball!

Those are great toys!! My syrians always love them, they climb and chew!! Which is great but none of my dwarves have ever really wanted to chew them, even though I put them so they're not high up - they're really not keen!

Though Whimzees as Cypher said are popular with all of my hams! I find my dwarves tend to shorten their nails on them too

For my dwarf hammies I usually put them on the floor of their cages and they become much more interested in them compared to whenever I tried hanging them up!
