Lightbulb Crushed up fruits?

Hi! I'm a new hamster owner (Her name is Sugar) and I was wondering when I give her fruits could I crush them up and drain the excess of juice, in particular cucumbers, since I know that an excess of water can cause diarrhea in hamsters. Thank you!

Fruits are fine to give as they are. Just not too often as they’re quite high in sugar. Cucumber is fine to give more often. With watery foods like that you’ll want to start slowly and build up how often you feed them. You shouldn’t have diarrhoea issues if you get them used to it slowly.

As mangoandmimi said fruit is fine as an occasional treat, don't crush them or drain the juice away though as you'll lose a lot of nutrients that way, just give really small pieces.
It's not just the water content but both sugar & acidity that's a problem with fruit.
Cucumber shouldn't cause a problem & it's better to give veg rather than fruit most of the time.
You can begin by giving one tiny piece every three days, if she's ok with that then gradually increase veg to daily & keep fruit as a rare treat.

Cucumber is fine how it is! Usually my hamsters will just drink less if they’ve had cucumber. I’ve only had one hamster get diarrhoea from too much cucumber and that’s because I was 11 and didn”t realise how small their portions should be.
