Exclamation Burgess Hamster & Gerbil Food

I recently bought this food as a quick resort because his previous food had run out completely. Unfortunately, my local store didn't supply the harry hamster food. Is there anything I can add/takeaway to make sure it is reasonably suitable for my Syrian or should I leave it as it is?

Had a look at the ingredients and protein levels. It's not good to remove anything from a muesli mix because it affects the overall nutrient amounts. I would suggest getting a bag of Harry Hamster and mixing the two together. When that starts to run out, add more Harry Hamster until you switch over the Harry Hamster again.

If your hammy has been used to Harry Hamster then a sudden change of diet isn't good and needs to be done gradually over a week or two anyway or they can get diarrhoea etc.

It wouldn't be a good one to use long term as it's quite high in fat - best to use one specifically for Hamsters. I think Pets at Home have Harry Hamster - is there one near you? If you have nothing else then try them with a bit of the food but I'd try and get some Harry Hamster as well.

The G/A isn't too bad actually, protein & fat are ok, fibre is maybe just a little on the low side but if you feed veg that shouldn't be a problem so it would be ok to continue for now & switch back to Harry Hamster when you can, it would be ok to mix the two if you want to when you get some.

well, I switched him gradually to the burgess dwarf - which I know probably isn't the best but he was originally fed on a gerbil mix and that was all I had on hand- to this, but I've only had him for about a month. I'll try purchasing the harry and switching him over to that but I don't want to stress him too much as this is his 3rd day solely on the h&g burgess food. He seems to be eating everything or at least hoarding it xD

Sounds good Cypher knows more than me about ingredients so her advice is best!

Would it be suitable long term and for all hamsters? I'm trying to find a really good mix of food/s and being from the UK I find it really difficult
