Just an update on the Rodipet organic Syrian mix. I used the one for younger hamsters as Newt didn't like the older hamster normal version. However he leaves absolutely masses and it is nearly all green dried herbs he leaves and some seeds. So if he doesn't eat the herbs I am not sure he will be getting the balanced nutrients. As it is I use a 50/50 mix of Rodpipet and Bunny Dream basic. But I will be going back to the junior hamster "standard" Rodipet mix as a bowl full of herbs he won't eat is silly!

The dwarf hamster organic mix is still used for Nugget (again I had mixed 50/50 with Bunny Dream but moved onto just the Rodipet). I have no idea what Nugget eats but he takes almost everything.

Shame about the Syrian mix, most hamsters just aren't used to so much of a diet being comprised of herbs I suppose.

I did wonder how the organic and normal dwarf mix compared, not tried the organic. Maybe robos are less fussy, mine have always taken everything. Herbs included I think. Might bowl feed Chocho this week to double check as it's a bit hard to tell with scatter feeding!

Tarak has the syrian organic mix as well as harry hamster, mr johnsons and science selective biscuits. He leaves most of the herbs too.

Popcorn (dwarf hybrid) has the rodipet dwarf mix as well as the burgess dwarf mix and also leaves a lot of the herbs.

Mallow (roborovski) has the same as Popcorn and eats all of it!

I use the Rodipet organic Syrian food for the younger hamster which I mix with the HH. Plus the selective science which I leave around the cage for Maestro to find. He leaves some of the mix regularly. Hope he eats a balance overall. Mocho had the Rodipet mix for the older Syrian once he was over a year old. Mixed with the HH, he liked it but not the insects. At least the organic mix leaves those out.

Ha ha must be a robo thing - eating everything . I think I'll keep going with the Rodipet Syrian organic one mixed with the Bunny - and the odd science selective pellet/treat. Although it looks like a lot is left (lots of herbs and seeds - he does eat the rest I guess.
