hand mixed treat/ meal?
So, I've been feeding my ham sunflower seeds by holding them in front of her for about a week and a half now, if not slightly less ans today i made the first bold move to make her climb onto my hand to get the treats.
For this i made a little mix of pretty much 45/45 of plain, cooked porridge oats and pearl barely, and the rest would be a bit of bird seed or small popcorn kernals.
She loved it and this was the first time she willing went into my hand, licked up all the food and then licked my hand afterwards (even when i was trying to put her back!)
This is a big step for me so I'm very happy! But will this mix be ok for her? I already feed her sunflower seeds so i dont want anything oily or fatty and because she's a hybrid i dont want anything with sugar either xS

Re: hand mixed treat/ meal?
Porridge oats & pearl barley are both fine, I'd skip the popcorn though, some birds seeds are ok but not all depending on what's in it.
I wouldn't do this too often though, a little soft food once or twice a week is ok but mostly even treats should be natural seeds or occasional little pieces of nuts but generally hard foods.
Once she's begun to eat from your hand like this she'll probably be happy to climb onto your hand & sit there without needing this kind of treat to encourage her.
