Default Re: Homemade diets

Bought everything yesterday and mixed it all up! I started with maybe half a teaspoon, just to introduce them slowly, but they cleaned every last speck from their bowls. They weren't even just stuffing their cheeks to hoard it, they literally sat there and chewed every little piece, and then licked the bowl for crumbs.
With the addition of fresh meats and vegetables, and the occasional fruity dessert, the "completeness score" from the nutrition.data website was almost 95%. (I know it's based on humans, and I changed the nutrient requirements on the site when I could, but I still feel really good about that! I don't even eat that well...)
Anyway, I'll continue to play with the recipe and all that math, and alter it because I still want to be able to offer some more variety, but I'm feeling pretty happy with it all, and so are the critters.
