Default Food for Dwarf hamster

got a new hamster on January 2nd at PetCo. He's a Djungarian dwarf hamster and I'm pretty sure he's a Campbell. I however have encounter a problem, I do not know which food mix is good for him. I was feeding him Kaytee Fortidiet prohealth since that was the only food available when I got him at the store but from what I've been reading it might be bad for him. I've found multiple topics about the food or other mixes but I end up with contradictory statements so I'm very confused when it comes to the food I should give him. I also noticed most posts and sites I had found have not been updated for years so maybe the opinion on those foods changed.

I was also wondering if this was good for a Campbell or if there are better options than this:

Here is also a picture of my hamster, Momo:

He really is a very handsome little ham, the Campbell's genes are very apparent but coming from petco he will a hybrid (Winter White & Campbelss cross) although the diet needs are the same.
That food isn't as high in fruits & sugars (which are the main things to avoid) as many US foods, it does have a lot of additives, not all bad though so he should be ok on that for now at least.
I'm afraid I do tend to lose track of US foods & which are the better ones but someone more familiar with them may be able to help more.
Some members in the US choose to order Burgess dwarf hamster harvest from viovet so that may be an option you could consider.

Ahh! I thought he would be hybrid most likely but I'm not sure what that really entails. Is it bad for him to be hybrid?

Hybrids are basically a hamster that have a hamster of another species somewhere within their ancestry.

Hybrids are more prone to certain health problems such as neurological issues (flipping, spinning, behavioural problems) as well as diabetes and potential problems with delivery of pups if they were to become pregnant. That doesn't mean that they can't make lovely pets and many members here have had some lovely Hybrids as pets.

Fluffagrams covered it really, hybridisation is far from ideal & does lead to a greater potential for some health problems but as long as you're aware of that & feed a good healthy diet I wouldn't worry too much, many hybrids live long happy & healthy lives & they make just as adorable pets as any hamster.
