Default Sun ripened corn cobs

...do hammies actually consume the kernels or rather just pick and store them? I seem to find a lot left amongst Lil's substrate but she loves knawing on the cob.

I used to give some of my girls sun ripened corn cobs - but they always seem to enjoy removing/hoarding the kernels rather than eating them. Although I used to find a few pieces which had been nibbled on although the majority where untouched. The only part of the kernels my hamsters used to eat was the part of the kernel which was attached to the cob (the paler end) and they used to leave the yellow outer part of the kernel.

Yeah, I'm finding the exact same. It sounds like she's pouching pebbles!

Master Harvey loves them, he clings on to it just like his other hanging treat sticks.

I've only brought these once with my last Syrian and he stripped all the kernels off but I don't think he ate a single one! I quite like them as enrichment/gnawing though, so I might buy some more to see what Bambi thinks. He loves the hanging treat seed sticks, so I imagine the corn cobs would be popular too.

I do think they eat them to an extent. Just small bites of it is my guess. Either way, it's good for their teeth so I'd offer it
