Do it gradually. A sudden change can be stressful so do a little at a time. I changed my boys from the All Living Things hamster and gerbil mix to Hazel Hamster over the course of a week. I started by giving a tiny bit of Hazel Hamster with the all living things and gradually increased the amount of new food and decreased the amount of old food until I was no longer feeding the old mix

If you have anymore questions don't hesitate to ask!

I personally would suggest high quality probiotics(no unspecified biproducts such as digest/derivatives/meat and bone meal of any sort/biproduct meals/animal or generalized liver in any form/any sort of unspecified fat/etc,no artificial flavors or dyes,no unspecified preservatives or E&C approved preservatives aka antioxidants or BHA/BHT/ethoxyquin as the E&C approved part is a loophole for the previously mentioned preservatives which are known to cause cancer,no artificial sweeteners or processed sugars such as maltodextrin/dextrose/sorbitol/fructose/sucrose/etc,no propylene glycol, and no sulfur dioxide as well as never being irradiated or from China as with any other pet product that will be ingested)combined with pureed pumpkin. This is a really good preventative step against digestive upsets in many forms, and is beneficial towards overall health as well. You might have to find human grade probiotics if you can't find any that meet the requirements though

It depends to some extent on the food you are changing from & too, if they are similar for example both muesli type mixes then you should be able to do the change gradually over a week, as you just got your new hams I would imagine they are already on a healthy mix, sometimes if hams have been fed a cheap unsuitable sugary mix it can take longer for them to adjust but if you're referring to your new breeder hams then it shouldn't be a problem.
If you were changing between a muesli mix & pellets that would take a little longer too.

Im changing them from best pets to burgess dwarf hamster. Best pets it hard for me to get hold of and my other hamster is on burgess so its easier for them to both be on the same food. Should i start to transition them tomorrow? Yes i am refering to my new breeder hamsxxx

Im going to be putting them on burgess. Ive used it for years and its easy to get hold of. Usually i add in a few dried mealworms from the p@h critter mix. Its by woodlands. Ive never really used a probioticx

I hadn't even heard of that food but looking at it now I don't see any reason why you shouldn't start to change them over tomorrow.

Best pets aparently is one that most breeders use because it can be bought in bulk. Burgess dwarf mix has been my go to for years. Will start the transition tomorrowx

It might be best to spread the transition over a couple of weeks due to the big difference in ingredients & one being rather more processed & containing sugars, it will be fine but still quite a big change so don't rush it.
