Has anyone's hamster tried the Bunny My Little Sweetheart treats in the mealworms flavor? If they have , did your hamsters like them ?

Re: Hamster Treats
I haven't tried them, but by looking at the ingredients, I'm not overly impressed. There is only 1% mealworms actually in them, defeating the purpose of a meal worm treat. You'd be better off feeding plain dried mealworms, rather than buying into the commercial junk. I know treats may look appealing, but often they are poor quality and seriously unhealthy. My hamster has enjoyed the Oxbow Simple Rewards Banana and Strawberry treats though, and they are at least good quality, but he only occasionally gets half of one.
Other healthy treats would be fresh veg, flaxseed, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and freeze dried chicken, which is healthier than cooked meats. All are popular with my dwarf, Jasper.

Re: Hamster Treats
I have to second chesca on the oxbow simple rewards, they're super high quality and healthy treats! I feed these on occasion and my hams absolutely loved them
Whether you get the mealworms treats or not is up to you. They're definitely healthier than some of the treats on the market, but like chesca said, they have only 1% mealworms in them. If you really wish to offer them, I'd only do so on occasion and remember that they don't replace real mealworms

Re: Hamster Treats
Calling them mealworm treats is a bit misleading with only 1% but the ingredients are actually quite healthy so they wouldn't be bad for your ham, maybe not too appealing though!
