Parsley is fine too although I never had a ham who liked it. The only problem I'm aware of with parsley is that it shouldn't be fed to pregnant hams.

Oops lol. I've always had it stuck in my head that they can't have celery - no idea why. I still learn something new everyday from this forum I guess lol.

There actually are some people who don't recommend celery be fed so it's not a random idea you've had! I heard this from somewhere (not quite sure where) but the reason some people don't recommend it is because they think the hamsters can choke on the strings in the celery. Although I don't think this makes much sense due to the fact that they nibble off bits and would chew through the stringy parts, but everyone is entitled to their own opinions

The ingredients of the dwarf food are pretty much entirely specific while that isn't the case for the Syrian food.Everything is specified in Harry Hamster as well, making it a superior food.Sure it doesn't have added animal protein, but that's the easiest thing to add so it really doesn't matter compared to knowing every single thing that is in a food.

Mushu broke hunger strike just now!!!

Well, granted it was a 'strike' of less than a day, but still...

I took your advice and both switched him onto Harry Hamster and cut back on giving so many treats as of yesterday morning. All throughout yesterday and last night, his bowl remained untouched.

I reckon the little blighter was waiting for his treats this morning before having to resort to the mix, because he climbed out of the cage onto my hands and when I put him back having had only one or two treats, went straight to his bowl and filled his pouches!

I know the bonanza food isn't good but Wasabi was being fed that before and she won't eat anything else, even if I leave the food in there for a week. She just gets weak and skinny and I only tried this once and the vet had to give her a shot to keep her going and I had to hand feed her for a week and then she started getting stronger but never got back her full energy so I still stuck with it even though it's not healthy. I just give her healthy treats.
