I really would avoid it as I can't see any real benefit of giving pellets to a hamster. You are much better off providing a quality seed mix like Harry/Hazel Hamster or Burgess Dwarf Hamster Harvest and giving seeds and vegetables as treats.

I think most rabbit foods are predominantly made of grass and hay (if they are good quality) which is unnecessary for a hamster because of the different structure of digestion system.

Apart from the fact that the nutritional value would be inappropriate some rabbit products contain a drug to combat a parasite they carry which is toxic to hams so best avoid anything for rabbits really.

I definitely agree that rabbit pellets really wouldn't do much. A high quality rabbit pellet will be Timothy based and made of almost exclusively grass, which hams don't find too appealing. If you didn't get a high quality pellet, it'd have preservatives and chemicals to avoid. Plus rabbit pellets have a lot of fiber in them, and though fiber is alright for hamsters, it's bad if it's too high. Overall as cypher said, anything that isn't made for rodents shouldn't be fed to hamsters (and even some products for rodents and specifically hamsters!)
