If you're really struggling to find a food that works for him it might be worth a try but as I said the ingredients list is not at all specific, I personally don't like foods that contain "by products" or don't specify what cereals or grains actually is & I find the dairy content just odd but it's really up to you whether you think it's worth a go or not.
From what i have seen on the danish composition list in general on hamster foods, it is pretty much impossible to find one that actually lists all the ingrediens.
It actually says on the back that it contains animal protein. I am guessing that is the dairy they are referring to.

I think it must be the dairy as there's nothing else animal in there!
Shame you can't get foods that are a bit more specific about what they contain but if that's the case then this may be as good as most you would get.

Kilian absolutly loves Vitacraft's VitaSmart. This is his major seed mix, since he has stomach issues. We do give him some block/pellet food as well. I find that this food is very well rounded.

Just as and example, this is the back side og the biscrock gravybones.

Is says components: grain, Meat and meatbiproducts, minerals, vegetable biproducts, seeds, oil and fats, herbs.

Thats a pretty normal components list to me, where i live.

That's pretty common for things like dog biscuits & extras or treat foods here too but fortunately not so much for actual main mixes.

maybe denmark has different regulations on that point then.
so for picky little romeo this is definetely better than him eating an unbalanced diet, because he would rather starve himself than eat something he doesn't like?
I don't really know if he will eat that yet either anyway, and as he is just 6 months the high protein amount shouldn't be that much of a problem right?

i might look into what pellets are available later if he actually eats this.

I'd still avoid it.Biproducts are just not worth risking, since it isn't in any way specific enough to guarantee that nothing unsafe would simply not be in the food.

On the topic of Biscrok, the UK version does specify animal digest and EC approved antioxidants. These are not good ingredients,as the antioxidants part of things also approves harmful(cancer causing to be exact)preservatives aka BHT/BHA/ethoxyquin.Digest means anything from potentially safe biproducts such as certain organs all the way down to hooves, feathers, bloodmeal, and many more nasties that just shouldn't be in any pet's diet

I can vouch for Pedigree and Purina using unsafe ingredients in the US as well, which are actually specified here.

it seems like the only other pellet food i can find available in denmark is this: complete-hamster-gerbil | Versele-Laga Complete
doesn't seem like there is a huge difference between them

Zooplus ship to Denmark, but they don't carry the hamster version of the Science Selective pellets The rat version is a few percent off being high enough so if that would be the only way to get pellets you could potentially do that with added animal protein, but it would definitely be a last resort in a situation where you just can't get the hamster version.

Viovet should deliver as well! They do carry Science Selective hamster pellets when I last checked, which would be much better than the Versele-Laga ones as well as better than the rat version of Science Selective. This will be your best pellet option,as long as you do add extras at times for variety based on what your hamster enjoys.

It can be very hard to find good hamster foods, especially when ingredient labels can be so confusing and misleading

I'll try this om him for now, and if he eats it i will order the good one from viovet he is very picky, as i said, so it's probably better that way.
