Default Whimzees

I just received a parcel for Sweep with some bedding and things in. The two Whimzees I got were loose so wondered if anyone know roughly how long they last as there is no use by date on them?!

I've never bought any that have come with any packaging to be able to check for you as I've always bought them loose.

If you bought them from an online store it might be worth contacting the place you got them from to see if there's a date on the packaging that they have.

I usually get mine loose too & they seem to keep for months as long as they don't get wet, I did have one get damp & it went mouldy but other than that I've some in cages & some stored in boxes for long periods without any problems.
I'm sure two whimzees won't last Sweep that long anyway!

These are tiny ones! LOL I wanted to save one for Christmas - would it be ok to go in his stocking as it is, or should I put it in a container?

I'm sure it will be fine either way.

Maybe keep it in a container until nearer Christmas. Then put it in the stocking. The stocking needs to be put near the cage empty. So Santa Paws can fill it with presents.

I hope Sweep enjoys his Whimzees! Jasper goes crazy for them ! I also got the tiny ones and normally they've disappeared in the morning lol

I now get mine at my petshop as Harvey prefers the smaller ones and they're a big seller. I checked the date on the packaging and it was a year plus, so Harvey has a year to consume it.

Great thanks Lizzy! I guess the only problem with them being loose is I have no idea when they were opened
Chesca, to answer your question on Sweep's thread, I got them from Vet UK online. They don't have a lot of choice but the things they do have are a LOT cheaper! I got a big bag of Carefresh, 2 small bags, some of the Burgess Dwarf food as well as 3 whimzees and a couple of toys for about £30 - usually the big bag of Carefresh and the 2 small bags would have been around £30- £40 just on it's own!!!! If you spend £30 I think it is you get free delivery too Because they sell all the foods I use and the Carefresh I will be using them again for food and substrate! The small toys I got are for Christmas

Ok thanks. I've ordered from there before, but not for AGES.
