Default Extra fibre

I've been researching a lot when it comes to hamster food, and I've found a good mixture of food that I want to feed my hamster. But I want to give some more fibre from time to time, just to make sure that he gets enough, as the fibre content is a bit below the recommended amount.
I've read that they can have lentils, but do they have to be cooked, or can I give them uncooked?
Is there anything else I can give to give some extra fibre ?

Which food are you feeding? You should be able to get Harry Hamster which meets the requirements and is the best food in the UK(and elsewhere as it can be bought internationally) when it comes to mixes,or for dwarf species Burgess make a great dwarf hamster food(but their other food is not good, though they have some really nice forage type add ons).

I am going to mix Harry Hamster with either Mr. Johnson's or Burgess (for syrians), because there is no animal protein in the Harry Hamster

Don't mix it with those foods, just add dried mealworms, boiled chicken, etc.Burgess Syrian food isn't that great, and Mr. Johnson's as a whole isn't the best brand.

Harry Hamster is fine on it's own, you can give a little chicken once or twice a week if you want to feed a little extra animal protein, they do only need a tiny amount too, you could also try some mealworms but not all hams like them.
Lentils can be fed raw but do sometimes cause bloating so not the best thing to add tbh.
A small amount of fresh veg daily, as much variety as possible, something different each day within the safe veg list is all he needs really for any extra fibre.

Another option if you really feel your hams diet is short on fibre is breakfast cereals, mine (dwarfs) have an unsweetened bran flake once or twice a week, more as a treat than anything just because they love them but it does add a significant amount of fibre.
