Question Sunflower hearts?

So I bought a bag of sunflower hearts that were marketed for birds today as they had no regular sunflower seeds in the shells.
Just want to double check that they are ok?
Also the pack said that the seeds are unsafe for human consumption but the birds can eat them so I presume that they're ok for hamsters?

They should be fine as long as there aren't any preservatives or added salt, dyes, etc.

Sunflower seeds are fine for hamsters although they can be quite fattening if fed in excess. They're a favourite treat for my Chineseys, who seem to prefer them to some of the commercially prepared treats available.

There fine to feed if there just sunflower hearts with no other ingredients. I feed my hamster sunflower hearts as well because i have trouble finding them in the shells.

They're definitely a lot healthier than storebought treats, and the fats are at least healthy fats instead of the unhealthy fats in most storebought treats!

Sunflower hearts are ok. The ones in the shell are better as the hamster has to chew into them. This takes time and helps keep the hamsters teeth short.

Sunflower hearts are fine but if you can find them the sunflower seeds in the shells are a much better option as hams really need to work their teeth on seed shells, the hearts are really soft.
