Default Anyone heard of "Encore"?

Has anyone heard of the cat food brand Encore? In terms of ingredients it looks similar to Applaws but I wanted to check it would be OK for Sweep. The ingredients in one is chicken breast, chicken broth and rice. I'm not sure what chicken broth is though ...

Think of chicken broth as the liquid base of something such as chicken noodle soup! That is the best way to explain it,but it should be safe

So it won't have onion in? Chicken SOUP has onion in and I thought soup and broth were the same thing?
But if it's OK then that's great as it's available in my local supermarket and cheaper than Applaws!

If it had onion that would be listed as an ingredient. It does seem like a really good treat though, and the brand itself seems very impressive from what I've seen so far.

The chicken pate wouldn't be safe,as it has pork, but the tin version(seems to be the one you mentioned actually)is fine. The chicken with brown rice pouch is also okay too,but they seem to be pretty much identical products.

If it is the same company that makes it here it is grain free or only using Rice and Potato in place of the whole grains. From a free sample my cats enjoyed it but it didn't settle well on their stomachs and gave both a loose stool for a day. It is fairly high protein so if used I would only give 1 or two at the most kibbles to a hamster. If in the states it is much less cost to buy a sampler size bag of Authority Grain free Chicken made exclusively for Petsmart. It is the exact same ingredients and is half the cost as Encore.

It is not kibble, it's wet food ...

This is the chicken tin Sainsbury's - Please enable cookies or JavaScript
And the chicken and rice pouch Sainsbury's - Please enable cookies or JavaScript

Only gave Sweep a little and the rest got given to my brother's cat!
