Transition from bowl to scatter feeding?
So recently I've been contemplating changing Willow over from bowl to scatter feeding to give her something more to do.
Although I'm a little hesitant to just get rid of her bowl completely and scatter feed - I've heard of people who have done this and their hams have stopped eating because they were so reliant on the bowl previously.
So how should I change her over?

Re: Transition from bowl to scatter feeding?
I did it very gradually with mine. Start by giving her most of her dinner in her cage and scattering a few pieces, then work up to scatter-feeding it all by gradually increasing the amount you scatter and decreasing the amount in her bowl. That way she shouldn't have any problems at all xx

Re: Transition from bowl to scatter feeding?
I agree. I started by giving Sweep his food in his bowl, and hiding his treats rather than hand feeding them, then I did half his food in his bowl and alf scattered and gave him less in his bowl and more scattered each time. Now he is scatter fed totally except fresh food and new foods which go in his bowl He enjoys searching for his food now (though he won't admit that LOL)
