Clay Hamster Gnawing Stone?
Hi everyone,
I recently bought a Quiko Minerals gnawing block from Pets at Home, and the main ingredient is clay. Is this safe for my hamster to gnaw on?
I keep reading mixed responses so I thought I'd just ask you guys before I give it to Nibbler.
Thanks so much!

Re: Clay Hamster Gnawing Stone?
It should be fine, they don't really need mineral stones & often ignore them anyway but the clay is ok.

Thank you Cypher! I was told that it's bad because it compacts, could that be a problem if she tries to eat the flowers and seeds in the stone? It looks like this:
Thanks!

Re: Clay Hamster Gnawing Stone?
It shouldn't be a problem, even if she chews of the flowers & seeds I doubt she's actually ingest much of the clay but small amounts are OK.
