Default Ingredient Ash in treats?

My local Poundland has FINALLY jumped on the small animal bandwagon & today I found these "Furry Friends Tasty Loops".

I didn't check the ingredients in the shop because I've seen these online (didn't think about the fact it's also a different product name / company ) for £5+ a bag with P&P, and as much as I love and adore Pixie and Tinkerbell, I can't justify £10+ on more treats when they have plenty (they get their own of everything).

It's not till I've got home (I was in a rush in town) and realised that I didn't check the ingredients, again, something I tend to do BEFORE buying stuff, but I got blindsided by the loops & the fact I was busy.

There's ash in them? Not sure I like the sound of that at all.
They are sugar free, which is a bonus, but ash? That sounds strange to me? Would you feed your furbabies them?
Pics below.

"Ash" is just the word they use to describe all the other bits like vitamins and minerals that are in a food or treat, it's not actually wood ash or anything like that I've not seen a pet food or treat that doesn't have "ash" on there!

I think it's called ash because it's what's left over if you burn the treat/food, but don't quote me on that!

See, I did think that but then my friend put thoughts into my head and I'm so protective of my hamsters I went on the instant defensive!
Thanks for the vote of reassurance though, I did think that might be the case, I hope so anyway! :P

My hammies like those, especially the Syrians. I put them on a metal 'kebab' toy and they love chewing them off

I agree with what Kissa said about the ash.

Thank you
I was planning on finding something to give them these treats on so they're not being handed treats on a plate (literally in some ways!).

Least I know I'm not feeding my hamsters ash, much to my friends probable dismay (he likes to think he knows it all, not like I'm the one with two hamsters & an account on here..)

Thank you
Massive weight off my shoulders.
Now to go investigate & find something to make these more fun! =] x

Wow, they're brightly coloured! I, personally, wouldn't give them for that reason alone.

I have this type of thing for them
Small Animal Vegetable and Chew Dispenser by Pets At Home | Pets At Home

I also put barley rings on them which are less bright but they come in large bags from a local horse shop.

I've seen those! I keep finding reasons not to buy them when I'm in P@H, but I think I now have a reason to thank you.

The phone really doesn't help the brightness, they're not that bright, I promise, no more so then the ones sold online (can't think of the brand now though).
