Thanks all will take a look in a bit when I go out. I had thought about frozen fruit actually, as currently our stores have LOADS in ready for Summer and people making ice-cream or smoothies. But most of those bags are big and I personally don't like frozen fruit! We pretty much always have bananas in anyway so can give him some fresh banana, just wanted to try something different for a change! And no one here eats apples so I don't want to buy any apples, though might get some dried apple, but is that likely to have more sugar in?

You could try drying some banana in the oven, there is instructions online on how to do it.

Also if you are looking for apple chips I get mine from Zooplus
JR Farm Apple Chips | Free P&P on orders £29+ at zooplus!

I don't know if these would be OK due to them having added sugar and the description says sweetened.

I wouldn't use them, sugar & flavouring (why bananas would need flavouring is beyond me!) aren't good, you can get unsweetened ones with no additives at all but you would need to go to a health food shop, still check the label because not all brands are good, or shop online most likely.

They could have artificial flavors since they include "flavouring" as an ingredient(not clear what type of flavour)and they also have added sugars(not clear the exact type,so it could be artificial which is bad).

That's what I thought but got co fused as I wasn't sure if the sugar was actually from the coconut oil. I'm not sure we have any health food shops round here!

You can buy online but probably not worth it for just that, a whole lot easier to go for a healthier treat really!
