Re: Your Hamster's Diet
My hammie doesn't have a lot of variation, he tends to leave new things. He gets his bowl refilled with Harry Hamster mix a day after he empties it, with a few raisins mixed in (his favourite!) I feed him a small amount of chopped up celery and carrot on saturdays also. That, and a lot of treats, considering how greedy he is. Hopefully that's helpful!

Re: Your Hamster's Diet
Okay this is my personal diet to suit my male Syrian hamster who is 6 months old.
Monday; Spoon of Harry Hamster with added sunflower seeds, pumpkin seed, corn and a peanut in shell depending on the spoonful.
Added oats, millet, meal worms, a piece of cooked pasta and a dog biscuit.
One thumbnail piece or one of the following
Broccoli, Dandelion, Grass, Pepper, Cauliflower, Kale, Spinach. Depending on what we have.
Tuesday; 2 spoons of Harry Hamster burried under deep bedding area (with add in's as above)
One piece of veg as above.
Wednesday; Few seeds in treat toy.
One piece veg as above.
Thursday; Same as Monday.
Friday!; Hamster Salad. (Spinach or Kale, Pepper, Chicken and Carrot.)
Yoggie Drop.
Saturday; Same as Tuesday.
Sunday. Same as Monday with either a Brazil Nut, Walnut or Hazelnut.
Hope this helps, it may vary on common sense. I check his hoards regularly so I know if I need to increase or decrease the amount if food given. Hope this helps xx

Re: Your Hamster's Diet
Mine get nothing so regimented! At the moment I feed them hamster mix every two days (it used to be just twice a week but I prefer feeding less but more often), and then they get veg or treats or other food depending on what we're eating, what's in the fridge, and basically what I feel like giving them! They all had porridge last night for example

Re: Your Hamster's Diet
Wow, I'm no where near as organised as planning a weekly menu for them!
My hams get their mix every three days or so, anymore frequently and they just pick their favourite bits out and leave the rest - leaving it for three days makes them eat the majority of it! Whatever is left at the end of the three days gets chucked out and replenished for fresh.
Added to their mix they get extras like oats, millet, extra sunflower seeds, canary seed, flax seed, mealworms, dog kibble, dried herbage etc.
Almost every day they'll get a piece of vegetable - broccoli is their favourite so they get they most often, but I try to keep it varied for them. Occasionally they'll get a tiny bit of fruit instead. Maybe a couple of times a month they'll get an extra special treat like plain cooked chicken, a little bit of plain yogurt, boiled egg or maybe a little piece of cooked rice, pasta or noodle - they love that!
So, all in all, no strict routine - just plenty of variety, and keeping the junk (like choc drops etc) to a bare minimum! They seem healthy and happy
