Default When and What?

So, this evening I sat down and looked at the planned weekly menus, then took a look in the fridge and freezer (and sadly they don't match up so I have to go shopping tomorrow!).
What I'd like to know is
1) Would this weekend be too soon to introduce Sweep to something new?
And if not,
2) What should I give him? Saturday's menu will be what we like to call "wait-and-see", which is usually either using a mishmash of whatever is in the house and attempting to make a meal from it, or some sort of light dinner (usually things like toast/crumpets etc). We're out at my sister's for lunch so that's sorted. So I think the best day out of the weekend would be Sunday. Sunday's planned menu is chicken, potatoes, carrots and possibly broccoli or corn on the cob for lunch, and then dinner will most likely be my famous gluten-free veggie spag bol (YUMMY!). So, I was thinking of something from lunchtime. But I'm not sure which of those items will be best to introduce first? No one in the house eats cooked carrots, because we are all weird! Which means the carrot would be raw. The broccoli or potato would be cooked. As for the chicken, I'm not yet sure how it will be cooked. If it's roasted it would probably be unsuitable anyway ...

RAW broccoli is usually real big ham favourite. Thumbnail size flower head. Break a piece off to save in the fridge. Raw carrot too, again a small slice to keep in fridge. Potato, yes, mashed plain, take a teaspoon out before any milk or butter is added. Feed when cool even offered on teaspoon! Plain cooked chicken is good protein so Roast chicken is best, again a small piece to eat the same day.
So you could try either chicken or mash on Sunday, putting a small piece of carrot and broccoli in the fridge to introduce over the next couple of days for variety.
