How much food???
Is it ok to only feed your hamster twice a day an give some veggies here and there between feedings???? He has three hiding spots in his new home made layout lol. It seems like he'll sleep where he hides food an eat thru out his naps.
Then when I feel his bowl he'll go an pick a few things out an eat it then go away an it'll take away before he picks out what he wants.
Is that a good thing???

Re: How much food???
Hamsters are perfectly fine being fed once a day. There's no real need to feed multiple times a day,you just give them enough food for one day at a time.Hamsters aren't like cats and dogs, they do not overeat, and therefore don't have to be fed at various intervals.

Re: How much food???
If you feed too much too often he will probably just get picky & not get a balanced diet.
Most people feed anything from once a day to about once every three days, about a tablespoon a day should be enough for a syrian, then feed fresh veg (small amount) daily.
