Default TheHam's food mix.

I've made a food mix combining three different brands. I dont know the exact % of how much of each brand the mix contains but i'll include a rough guess.

Harry hamster 25%

Ingredients: Wheat, Alfalfa, Maize and Flaked Maize, Soya, Flaked Peas, Sunflower Seeds, Peanuts, Soya Oil, Pumpkin Seeds,
Locust Bean, Vitamins and Minerals, Sodium Chloride, Coloured with EC Additives, Stabiliser: Sodium Sulphate.

Paws For Thought (pet shop) 40%

It doesn't specify properly what certain foods are neither does it contain the % but this is the ingredients on the packaging and from what i know of: Cereals, Fruits (Banana), Vegetables (carrots), Mealworm, Pellets, Locust bean, Sunflower seed, Straw, Flaked maize, peas, sugarbeet, molasses, proteins and vitamins

Rosewood naturals 35%

Ingredients: Oat flakes, wheat flakes, pea flakes, carrot, beetroot, parsley, popped wheat, popped corn, alfalfa, grain extrusions, peppermint, dandelion,
locust bean fruit, flaked corn, melissa, marigold, red clover.

I have also added Millet and Walnut to my mix.

Here is a picture of all the things in my food mix:

I think there's a great variety but there's also quite a few fillers such as the corn and straw. Overall, i don't know how much Protein, Fibre or fats my mix includes unless i figure out the nutrients for all the ingredients and do some maths (which i'm really bad at) I think it's silly how Rosewood or Paws for thoughts haven't added the nutritional information on the packaging. I'll do the maths for this at some point and share it with you all.

Do you think this is a good mix? My hamsters seem to enjoy it. Winston got bored of Harry hamster which is why i decided to do a mix.

Okay so this is an estimated guess with my sketchy maths skills, but what i have figured is that my mix contains the following Fat, Fibre and Protein %

Fat: 4.5%
Fibre: 11.3%
Protein: 18.3%

It's a rough estimate so if you're strict with your hams nutrition and decide to try this mix then i don't know if you should trust my maths skills, even with a calculator haha. I think i'm probably going to buy harry hamster and just the rosewood from now on with a couple of added seeds/nuts and dried mealworms maybe because the Paws for thought food ingredients doesn't specify properly which makes it harder to do the maths.

It really does, smells like peppermint too because of the dried herbs in it. I was so tempted to eat it myself!

The Herbs Plus looks like a really nice addition to the mix - my hammy loves herbs!

Yeah it really does bring the mix together and it adds a little something different for them to try

Are there any different bits of the mix that your hammily leave out? Mine don't seem to like the rolled green bits (I should know the name... Sorry that's really vague!!) which makes me worry that they're not getting enough fiber.
I presume you calculated the overall % by adding up all the fat, fiber, protein content in each item? Or just using what's on each mix bag for reference?

(Sorry for so many technical questions lol)
