US food brands?

In the United States, what brands of foods would you recommend, or which ones are better for your hammies than others?

Oh Lordy, you will likely get quite a few opinions on this but there are a few top choices consistently IMO.
Hazel Hamster is popular among many and fairly easy to obtain either on line or in many pet stores.
I think Oxbow is becoming more popular as well but I have not used this personally.
I use Harlan Teklad lab blocks which I get locally from a breeder or buy in bulk from a feed store. Nutritionally, they are excellent but no variety so I do add in a grain and seed mix as a treat.

Typically you want to avoid large quantities of corn (high sugar and low nutritional value) and dried fruits since they can get caught in cheek pouches.

I use Higgins Natural Garden Ultra seed mix, and also use a Lab Block that is identical in ever item of Teklad 1800 but a lot better price as I can get it locally so no shipping cost.
For a higher protein meal I give a mix of Red and Yellow Milo, red and white Millet, Oiler sunflowers, striped sunflowers, safflower seeds, Crimped Oats, Oat Groats, Wheat kernels, and halved raw peanuts. The high protein mix I buy at our feed mill and mix it myself

I buy VitaSmart Complete Nutrition by VitaKraft. I find it's a little low in protein so I feed my hammy some boiled egg or some unseasoned chicken. I get him the VitaKraft Drops With Strawberry which are high in protein so if i don't have any chicken or eggs I just do some training with him and give him a few treats. Not too much like 2-3.

I use the Harlan Teclad blocks and Hazel Hamster for my Syrians and the Teclad blocks broken up along with Ecotrition for my dwarf hammies because of the smaller seeds.
