Post Are dried corn sticks same for Hamsters?

I got these dried corn sticks from Pets at Home last week, DSC_0333.jpg , and I was wondering whether they were safe for Hamsters. I know that regular Hamster Muesli has dried corn in it, but would this be too much, if so then shall I just use it as a treat?

I find these treats can sometimes over compensate for the hamster eating it`s mix, so I never buy them personally. I remember having a few of these when I took on my Syrian a few years ago as I adopted him and these came with him. He did nibble on them but I found they were just unnecessary. As you say, dry corn is usually within a hamster mix, but a few nibblets of fresh sweet corn is much nicer!

Hanging one in the cage probably won`t do any harm as long as your hamster isn`t too reliant on it. x

Ok thanks racinghamster, she doesn't usually become reliant on treat sticks, but if she does, I'll give it to her now and then.

It's perfectly safe but, I agree with RH that treats like this should be given in moderation.
