Question 2 dwarf hamsters

Hi, so I recently got 2 dwarf hamsters and they live together. I don't know whether to feed double the amount of normal food because I can't find anything about it online.
so basically should i feed 2 portions of food or will they be okay with just 1
Thanks in advance x

Er... You want to feed enough for them both to eat. Basically you need twice as much food as you'd feed to a single dwarf.

Its like families with kids - if you have two kids you give twice as much food, you'd be done for neglect if you only fed enough for one of them.

If you mean should you use one or two bowls the answer is it depends on them, without more info I'd say to not use a bowl at all and to scatter the food.

If you had two dogs would you split one dogs portion between them and expect them to be healthy? Sorry if that's sounds very snarky but who told you to just feed one portion? :S

Hi, are they Russian dwarf hamsters, Roborovskis or? You need a good tablespoonful for each hamster minimal. Also scatter some food around the cage for them to rummage for. They will pouch some and store some, but my Russian dwarf loves his food and always looks for it, so rather than wait until his dish is empty, I always give a top up each day regardless. What food are you feeding them? Dwarf hamsters love small seeds, so canary seed, budgie seed and millet sprays always go down well. Ay good pet shop will sell these. x
