Question Can Roborovski dwarf hamsters eat strawberries?

I was wondering if Roborovski dwarf hamsters can eat strawberries that are bought out of the shop after being washed. Also I am guessing the strawberry or strawberries need to be chopped into quarters and the leaves taken of but what about the seeds? And do the leaves need to be chopped off and does the strawberry need to chopped into quarters?

Help would be appreciated as Gimley and Meeko are having their treats tomorrow ( 11/04/15) and I want to give them strawberries but I wasn't sure if they can eat them. I haven't given them strawberries in the past only hamster homemade treats, hamster treats and apple and some fresh vegetables.

Fruit can have a lot of sugar, so a small piece occasionally should be OK.
Vegetables are a better choice for them.

I`m not too sure about strawberries not being a little acidic/sour? I`m sure I tried my Syrian Boris a while back with a small chunk of strawberry and he never ate it! Strawberries are not something I would feed to be honest. Not that they will do any harm, but given there are things like frozen garden peas (thawed), broccoli, carrot and a small piece of lettuce usually get eaten over fruit, I would go with those and maybe stick to a small robo-sized piece of apple. Apple is always a bit hit with the hamsters I`ve kept. x

Ok, I will not feed them strawberries ,thank you for your help everyone. I will make a thread on the hamster central forum of the hamsters eating their treats ( I'm going to make the hamsters homemade cookies, the ones that Erinsanimals made, the Christmas cookies with hamster treat flavoured drops in)
