Willow Sticks
Today, my friend gave me some of her hamster stuff, including a pack of unused willow sticks. I saw lots of people used these, but when I checked the label, it said, suitable for rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchillas.
I don't want to risk it if they might not be safe. (btw I don't have my hamster yet , but soon )
What do you guys think about them?

Re: Willow Sticks
Sometimes these things might have stuff in them that's unsuitable for hamsters.

Re: Willow Sticks
They should be fine, I guess as it says medium they're larger than the ones normally sold for hams.
I have to say though none of my hams ever showed the slightest interest in willow sticks!

Re: Willow Sticks
LOL!
They probably said that they were suitable for the animals stated because they were the medium, not the small. I will try them when I get my hamster and see what it (don't know whether it is going to be a boy or a girl yet!!! XD) thinks.

Re: Willow Sticks
My Syrian Percy had a garland that contained different types of natural chews, among them willow stick ball...He really devoured the rest of the chews, but his willow ball remains untouched...Well,he did took it down as it was hanging up,but there is no signs of nibbling..
It was indicated as a boredom breaker for hamsters as well..

Re: Willow Sticks
They should be fine, though tbh my hamsters don't usually show any interest in wood chews. Willow is like candy to chinchillas though! I agree with the others that it probably lists only those pets because of the size of the sticks
