Default JR Farm Dwarf Hamster food

JR Farm Feast for Dwarf Hamsters. Free P&P on orders £29+ at zooplus!

I've seen this food today. What do people think about it? Or seems to have the right balance to me, but is rather near from you experts before i buy it. At the moment my hammie is on Burgess Dwarf hamster food but I'd like to give her some variety. Thanks

I feed a mixture of different foods, Burgess and JR Farm Feast for Dwarfs are two of them. I added the JR Farm one newly to the mix. My hamsters are not big fans, a lot of it does not get eaten, but they can be a bit picky. I think it has about the right balance though. It has a bit too much corn for my taste. I also get the dwarf hamster food from ratrations, which is popular right now. I think I'm going to try and add the dwarf hamster food from bunny next time and see how they like that. I also feed the science supreme pellets.

Thanks peanut 84.
I've just started trying bunny and Evey seems to be song that as much as the burgess. It seems a bit pricey, but different looking contents from burgess and I'm keen to give her different 'taste sensations' as they might say on masterchef!

You should check out ratRations.com, Rat food, base mixes and herbs The delivery can be a bit pricey, but you can buy lots of seeds and herbs to add to your food mix.

I use pretty much the same as Peanut, the JR farm, burgess & ratrations, I rotate mine rather than mix them & they seem to enjoy the variety.
I've used the Bunny in the past but wasn't too impressed & my hams never liked it that much.

I recently bought four bags of the JR dwarf hamster mix from Zooplus (not their Syrian mix as I have a Russian hybrid) and I also feed Burgess Supahamster. He eats the JR food and virtually ignores the Supahamster, but that`s probably due to the fact that the JR food smells divine! It has shrimps, chopped peanuts, mung beans etc....

I also bought a bag of Supreme Science Selective food just to add a biscuit to his other mixes daily and I tap the biscuit in my pestle & mortar to break it into smaller pieces and Chubs adores this.

The protein content is lower in the JR Farm food, so many might see it as a `complimentary` food rather than a complete food, which is why it`s a good idea to use a few mixes added together. But hamsters love it. I have to say it`s the best hamster food I`ve seen in a while and it has no sugars. So ideal for hybrids and Chinese hamsters. x
