Nuts!
Walnuts/Brazil/hazel nuts
Do they have to be cracked first before being given to a Syrian hamster? They look like they'd be quite a challenge otherwise?

No they don't, my 2 don't have any problems plus it's great for trimming their teeth.

If your hamster does have any problems with them, just crack them in half. None of my hamsters have ever been able to crack a walnut or a hazelnut on their own.

Mine just nibble away at them, they've never managed to crack them in half.
