Talking Homemade hamster treats (Peanut butter noms)

I made some homemade hamster treats!

1 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 cup of water
2 harlan teklad blocks 2018 (crushed)
1 tablespoon smooth peanut butter
5 tablespoons of crushed oats
5 tablespoons of sunflower seeds
5 tablespoons of quinoa seeds
2 tablespoons of coconut shreads
A handful of raisins.

Use two mini cupcake trays (this recipe makes enough to fill both trays, 24 bite sized treats).

Oven at 300F (150C) and leave them in for 20-25mins until they turn a golden brown color.

* Not safe for dwarfs, some of the ingredients are high in sugar and dwarfs are prone to diabetes!

They look good!
Your hams are getting so spoilt lol!
I don't see any reason why you couldn't just do the same but omit the raisins for diabetes prone hams, the other ingredients would be ok (as long as the coconut is unsweetened) for an occasional treat.

Oh yeah definitely, I just wanted to make sure I included that last bit for new owners to make sure they didn't make this without that kind of knowledge first.

You'd need to remove the peanut butter too, you can pretty much change any of the ingredients other than the water and flour to make something more suited to your hams preferences. I know Marbles is a sucker for peanut butter and sunflower seeds so I used those xD

Good idea about new owners not knowing Danni.
Peanut butter would be OK if it's the kind made from 100% peanuts, that's the only kind I use.

Its safe to say the hamsters loved the treats!
Marbles acted like a gentleman and gently pulled the raisin out. Maizies eyes almost popped out of her head!

Marbles has demolished half of his already, he started at an edge and has been going in towards the center so its now in a little moon shape. I'm so glad he likes it, hopefully this will help him put a bit more weight on.

Next time I make some I'm definitely going to try and use less flour and more Harlan Teklad blocks. Maybe mashed banana instead of peanut butter too.
