What's the best food mix in the U.S?
I have a diabetic-prone hamster and want to feed him the best muesli mix I can. I've heard that the Burgess Hamster Harvest and Hazel/Harry Hamster Mix are the best, but they don't seem to be available in the U.S. Any good ones that you guys know of that I don't have to purchase online? Thanks!

Hazel/Harry Hamster is available but often only in independent stores. I've had good success with the Vitakraft VitaSmart and the Living World Extrusion though

I've recently been using the VitaPrima Hamster & Gerbil formula and my two diabetes-prone hybrid dwarf hamsters (and gerbil) seem to enjoy it. VitaPrima has a Dwarf Hamster Formula as well, but I've heard it doesn't supply enough variety or nutrients for hamsters. The regular VitaPrima Hamster & Gerbil is great, you just have to pick out the flaked corn and peas. I don't just feed them the VitaPrima though, to that I add the Oxbow Heathy Handfuls Hamster & Gerbil food, and the Kaytee Healthy Support Diet pellets

I buy Hazel/Harry Hamster Mix at my local petco. Not sure if there is a petco where you're at but if there is maybe you can have a look.

Lots of petcos sell Hazel Hamster, but not all of them. Out of almost a dozen petcos in my area I could only find hazel hamster at one of them. If none of yours sell it you can order it online from them or from amazon.
Oxbow is a great food too, albeit a little low in protein. Almost all petsmart's have oxbow my hamsters get a mix of roughly half hazel hamster and half oxbow.

Re: What's the best food mix in the U.S?
when referring to hazel hamster food in the USA does this mean the one by SupremePetFoods? I tried to post the amazon link here but the post was denied with the URL in it. Thank you!
