Default Warm porridge

Is it safe to slightly heat baby porridge? I haven't tried it yet but thought maybe some slightly warmed milk, not hot added to the oats might be nicer for the little dudes at this time of year?

My room isn't cold but its not as warm as it has been because there is no sun coming through the window and the central heating can only do so much xx

I will do, thank you Will mix up a batch and temperature test. Aiming for just above room temp so its warmer than their cage is and will hopefully make them feel good and cosy

Thank you

I use warm oatmeal all the time for elderly/sick hammies. On rare occasions I give it to younger active adult hammies. Most often the young adults get it dry. They love it. My Ted E. Bear is getting frail and I have put him on oatmeal plus his regular food. Tonight Ted E. wanted to come out so I put him in his playpen in the kitchen and he had his oatmeal in there.

Aww DrKMcK Tink is the same, getting very old and frail now.

Thin Lizzy I got the cow and gate strawberry, raspberry and blueberry muesli for babies from 10 months and I also got the apple and oat porridge for 4 month babies. I alternate between them. They're 2 for £3 in tesco at the moment I find one teaspoon mixed with 2.5 spoons of milk gets a good consistency xxx

Thanks pixiehollow for the porridge info, will definitely make a trip to my tesco next week.
With the weather to get worse, I just want to build them up and what better way with porridge.

Mmm nothing like warm porridge on a cold day Mine love it but I don't often remember to make it even for myself so I keep instant baby porridges in the freezer. I have Apple & Carrot Oatmeal and Banana & Yogourt Wheat cereals. They love them both and keeping them in the freezer keeps them fresh longer so I can pull them out just when I need them.
