Pumpkin seeds and Jack O Lanturns!!
I just got done carving my first Jack O Lanturn since I was about 12-13ish. It's nothing fancy, just a series of triangles for the mouth, nose, and eyes. It's the best I could do with a kitchen knife. I saved the seeds, of which there were plenty, to give as treats to my hams. They are spread out in a large container in the kitchen and drying right now.

Re: Pumpkin seeds and Jack O Lanturns!!
Mmm I have fond memories of baking the seeds with salt after carving my pumpkins as a kid. I still love the taste of roasted seeds I find it less messy to just buy my seeds already cleaned and dried from the local feed store but I have to say I've been tempted to make my own!

Re: Pumpkin seeds and Jack O Lanturns!!
I don't exactly have a local feed store to go to, so I just bought a pumpkin from Trader Joe's one day. I have roasted the seeds with salt before, or bought a small bag of them pre roasted and salted from the convenience store once or twice. Those are pretty well salted though, and I find myself needing something to drink while eating them.
