The shops have started selling the nuts in shells with it being near Christmas, just wondering if all nuts in shells are ok for hamsters to eat?? I've got some Walnuts so far
I think most of the Christmas nuts are ok, walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts etc I partially crack all of these and let the hammies finish the job
Mine also love pistachios
Nuts are high in fat though so don't go overboard

Almonds should not be given in shell, even if it's the sweet kind, but other nuts are fine in-shell
Really? oops I didn't realise that
I've been giving the odd almond in their shells to my girls
Thanks for the info NiceCrocs, there are so many nuts in shells available at the moment I think I will just avoid almonds in the future then, it's so much more fun letting them crack their own nuts
