Default Best brand of dog biscuit

I was just wondering what brand of dog biscuit is most suitable as a hamster treat? And which brand do your hamsters enjoy most? I'm based in the UK if that helps people pick brands.

Picking up my new hamster in two weeks time from the breeder and just want to have all my supplies ready to go! Never gave my previous hamster dog biscuits so thought I'd give it a go this time.

Sorry can't really help you here my friend, As I'm not using dog biscuits either. But i was recommended by another member of this forum, sorry can't remember the name, anyway she/he recommended these: Dog Chews - Antos/Whimzees Mini "Toothbrushes" x 10 Try before you buy a big bag | eBay,
Im expecting them to arrive this week. Haven't used them before so can't say anything from my experience, but I've seen many people using those and they have said it's good for the hammies teeth. They are vegetable based if that matters to you

Hoping to see pics of your hamster

I give mine a milk bone dog biscuit once a week & a whimzee/antos dog chew (like those Dave mentioned) that I guess they'll have til they're ruined. I have crocodile shaped ones that I bought individually in case my hams didn't like them & are vegetable based.
I think the milk bones are Pedigree Biscroks? However, I don't know if these are a good or a bad make as far as hamsters are concerned. It depends on the ingredients. They might have a lot of added sugar, I don't know.
I would ask the breeder what they would recommend. They've probably spent quite a bit of time researching nutritional needs so can better tell you what is suited to their hamsters.
I do know that you need to check the ingredients on the dog biscuits & make sure they don't contain any garlic or onions as this is very bad for hamsters.

I go to Pets at Home to get my dog biscuits. You can weight them out yourself which is helpful as you don't need to buy an entire sack load! I always buy the ones that look like white bones for my Syrian and give her one once a fortnight. She absolutely loves them and there is never anything left when I spot clean her the next day!

I use bonio puppy biscuits, also some burns chicken & rice dog food which is really crunchy, antos chews area always a big hit with my hams too. They also enjoy denastix & rodeos which are chews rather than biscuits.

Thanks for all the tips guys! I might see if my local pets at home lets you buy dog biscuits loose, then I can try a couple of the different brands and see which one my new hammie prefers

If you buy a shops own brand biscuits or biscuits marketed for hamsters you might want to check the ingredients in case they have sugar in them, if they're dog biscuits check they don't have any onion or garlic.
