Default Grandpa's Sunday Lunch baby food

Hiya,
I've just bought a pot of this for Chewy (shes a 4 month old Syrian) and I wanted to just ask opinions for:

How much should I give her? I'm thinking not much, say half a teaspoon??

How often can they have it?

How do people store it as it probably doesnt last too long in the fridge?

Thanks!

I've not used baby food for hamsters, but when I was first weaning my children I used to freeze home made baby food in ice cube trays, & could then defrost what I needed in small amounts. Maybe you could freeze the remainder of the jar in small portions & defrost as & when you need it?

That's what we do - freeze it in ice cube portions then store in a bad and use as needed maybe once a week as a treat.

Mine love this. I used to freeze it in ice cubes too until I got more hams!

Generally the Heinz and Hipps brand tend to be the best! I love the heinz creamed porridge. Its not really a baby food but my hamsters adore it! x

Thanks Vectis! I gave some to Chewy tonight and she seemed to enjoy it! I've frozen the rest as I'll just give it to her once a week
