Hi guys! So I just came back from Petco.. and I couldn't help but get Daisy some treats! I bought the Vitakraft mini-pop - it's mini corn on the cobs and it says if you put it in the microwave for around 10 seconds some of the kernels will pop into popcorn! My question is if this is a good buy for her? It would only be given to her once a week or so as a treat, not as her main food!
Yes, this is a very amazing treat! It's just plain ADORABLE to see your hamster eat the popcorn off the cob, or just the corn itself! As you said, it's just a treat and should not be fed over 30 minutes a day if your hamster is on going at it. If your hamster ignores it, you can keep it in there for longer if you want. I usually feed this to Peanut every 3 days 10 minutes each.
I have those. They are great! Although one cob will yield a lot more popcorn than I think a ham should have access to at once. Its very nice that some kernels stay on the cob after popping and that equals some enrichment for the ham. XD
