Food, treats, cakes and meats.
Hello guys.
I was wanting some advice on things you can feed your hamster.
I was talking with my friend the other day and she was telling me how she makes little muffins/cakes for her hamster. Can you make hamster safe muffins? If so has anyone got a recipe? I'd love to make some
Also meat, can you feed your hamster meat? Of course tiny bits at a time but if you can, what type of meat?
Has anyone got any cute little things/foods/treats they feed their hamster? I really want to give my hamsters something new and exciting.
I've seen little pizzas you can make and i've already made them a mini omelette before.
Thanks guys

In terms of meat, I think small bits of cooked chicken with no herbs or seasonings is best? But I'm sure people who know more will be along shortly.

There are threads here with recipes for home-baked treats and the meats will be in a safe foods list in the Feeding/Nutrition section

Hello
You can give hamsters unseasoned cooked chicken or turkey! They also like mealworms hehe :3
Feeding live meal worms you MUST crush the head first to avoid them biting the hamsters pouches but, you can also buy dried mealworms
Their a few videos on youtube just search on there for recipes and videos on what treats you can make for hamsters
You can make hamster omelettes just like you normally make one, but add nothing to it (No milk, salt etc.) and just use egg
I hope I was a help!

Re: Food, treats, cakes and meats.
Hi Scrubby...I did attempt making banana and honey cakes but they turned out to be a disaster, once I am successful making a batch and they are edible and Apollo likes them will post the recipe.... However, icklemunch has provided a recipe for cookies for hamsters...they are in this thread, I haven't attempted them yet but will be doing soon.
Hamster cakes?
Thought would share in case you missed this thread
