im not sure but i do know bitter almonds contain cyanide

not nessecarily theres bitter and sweet almonds the bitter ones even without shells contains cyanide (im a science geek) Certain Almonds are Highly Poisonous

True, but as far as im aware that type of almond shouldn't find it's way in to the food chain, all commercially grown almonds are of the sweet variety.

I just give JJ a pistachio or walnut to have fun with. I just make a small opening in the shell before I do.
