Water Consumption???
Mary-Jane and Jessie have been with us for three days now and after moving them from Ferplast Combi 1 to a large fish tank last night they seem to have settled in well. My question is regarding how much water Robo's tend to drink? I haven't really seen them at the water bottle at all since bringing them home from P@H and when i set up the tank last night i refilled their bottle to the top. Coming down this morning is seems they have drank anything at all.. Its working fine and i thought with them being nocturnal that they would of had lots to drink considering they're so active. Am i worrying over nothing? Do then tend not to drink very much? Or could it be because they're still getting used to their environment?

Re: Water Consumption???
Of course you wouldn't see your robo's at there water bottle, my hamsters didn't let me see them when they were out eating, drinking ect.. until about 3 days after i bought them. And you shouldn't be worried if their drinking enough water...i believe a hamster drinks a table spoon of water a day. And also, make sure to check if the water is even coming out of their water bottle...on some occasions the ball in the bottle might get stuck which may be the cause of not enough water exiting.

Re: Water Consumption???
Thanks for reply. After searching the forum it seems robos are notorious for not drinking all that much due to their origin of the desert etc. I can stop worrying now

Re: Water Consumption???
Robos don't drink nearly as much as Syrians. I only see my robo drink occasionally. I was worried about his drinking to cos I usually keep Syrians. But he's perfectly happy and healthy
