Default Really Fussy Hamster.

Okay so i need help. Daisy is REALLY fussy with treats. Her food she eats no problem, But treats i am struggling with alot. I feel bad because Cookie (my Syrian) He likes loads of stuff and i always no what to get for him. But with Daisy. I've tried a few things and she has not really liked anything. Does anyone have any ideas on what i can try her on? Daisy is a Hybrid btw.

My Gertrude was the same until I've got her dried mealworms. Now she is my best friend days I give her dried mealworms and oh she loves basil leaves too. She is Syrian

Wolverine has no problem with treats but he's a shocking selective eater when it comes to his muesli.

To be honest, if she's eating her mix fine, why worry about her not liking treats? Plus most hamster treats are full of sugar/fruit/etc, so I wouldn't feed to a diabetes prone hamster like a hybrid anyway

If you are really desperate, millet sprays and mealworms (both usually found in bird sections of pet stores) are huge hits with both my Syrian and my Robo

I was just wondering is all. I've had her a year and i think she has had two, maybe three treats. I'm aware that they can suffer from Diabetes. That is why i asked to make sure. I was wondering if i could feed her certain things from house cupboards. But ive just seen another thread with a list of stuff for a hybrid so i will take a look.

If she's not too fussed about treats then I wouldn't worry. After all, they're only treats from your point of view, she's obviously happy with her other food

Have you tried a bit of plain cooked chicken occasionally? Or a bit of boiled egg? Ours all love this (Syrians & dwarf hammies).
