Default canary seed - too sharp?

i bought a seed mix as a little treat for my dwarfies, but i'm worried the 'canary seed' in it will be too sharp for their pouches? it's the long oval shaped seeds that taper to a point at each end:

safe?

It's safe. I've always given mine budgie mix, which has canary seed in.
It's smaller than barley which can sometimes be sharp

I think it depends on the ham. Canary seed and dactylis (grass seed) are basically the same, form-wise, and I know some people have reported problems with dactylis. If it really worries you, you could pick them out, or even just break off the sharp ends - even though that sounds tedious just typing it.

However, I've never had Canary seed that's sharp to the touch o.o Sounds iffy to me.

The `canary mix` I`ve always bought was fine. It`s whole oats you need to watch for. Those have pointed ends. Your mix looks fine though.
